Bulgarian sports legends visit the European Parliament

1994 Ballon d'Or winner Hristo Stoichkov, two-time Olympic Champion Maria Grozeva (shooting), Bulgaria’s only Olympic champion in swimming Tanya Bogomilova-Dangalakova, the legend of Bulgarian gymnastics, Yordan Yovchev, former World Chess Champion Antoaneta Stefanova, the President of the Bulgarian Volleyball Federation Lyubo Ganev and Olympic medalist in basketball Gergina Skerlatova are visiting the European Parliament today. 

They are to attend the conference entitled ‘’ "Youth and Sports in the EU: Big Promises Meet Reality," organized by MEPs Andrey Slabakov and Pietro Fiocchi from the European Conservatives and Reformists Group. The aim of the sports stars is to inform the MEPs about the problems Bulgarian sport has been facing in recent years.
