Joining the Eurozone later in 2025 is a possible scenario, and at this stage, it is a more likely one, Bulgarian National Bank Governor Dimitar Radev said for BTA in Washington during the Spring Meetings of the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund.

''The budget must be anti-inflationary, which is not the case at the moment’’, said Dimitar Radev. ''Global, as well as our own experience, shows that this can best be achieved through measures for effective management and control of spending", Dimitar Radev went on to say. "What we see keeps us vigilant, but at this stage we are not particularly worried", Dimitar Radev said with regard to the increasing mortgage lending.
