On the eve of May 24 - the Day of Saints Cyril and Methodius, of the Bulgarian alphabet, education and culture and of Slavic literature, the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences organizes a solemn celebration with representatives of the academic cultural community. The event will take place on May 23, in the "Prof. Marin Drinov" hall, 1 "15th November" street, the press center of the scientific institution announced.
Writer Georgi Gospodinov, corresponding member of BAS, will deliver a speech for the holiday. An interior version of the exhibition "Once and now. The glorification of the work of Cyril and Methodius in the modern world" of the Cyrilо-Methodian Research Centre at BAS will also be presented. The exhibition can be seen in the central foyer of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences from 23 to 31 May 2024.
