BGN 50 million (€25.51 million) will be granted to Bulgarian Posts postal operator, after the European Commission approved, under EU state aid rules, Bulgaria's plans to grant state aid to the company in order to restore its viability. 

Bulgarian Posts will have to restructure by implementing a package of measures to streamline its operations, optimise its network and reduce costs. In parallel, Bulgarian Posts will develop or provide services such as telemedicine or administration on behalf of other public entities through its ubiquitous network, bringing such services closer to citizens in remote and underserved areas.
