Composer Yosif Tsankov, who worked from the beginning of the 1930s until 1971, is not accidentally called a patriarch of Bulgarian music. He left over 500 works - operettas, tango music, hits, music for films and he inevitably contributed to the formation of music taste in this country.
One of the hits he composed is “Pesen moya, obich moya“ ("My song, my love"). The lyrics were written by Dimitar Vasilev and the song was arranged by Nikolay Arabadzhiev. Yordanka Hristova, prefrormed the song in 1967 at the "Golden Orpheus" festival and won third prize.
