A group of 14 children from the Taraclia district embarked on an exciting excursion to Bulgaria. They are to visit historical sites in Sofia, including the National Assembly building. The children will also visit the Rila Monastery and the town of Pernik, the Association for the Development of the Bulgarian Community in Moldova announced on Facebook. The association has provided the logistics and has covered the travel costs of the Bulgarian children who visit the homeland of their ancestors.

The selection of the lucky participants is also interesting – 7 of them got the chance to travel to their ancestral homeland through a raffle organized by the Association for the Development of the Bulgarian Community in Moldova during the Prom 2024. 5 of the children were winners of the association's competition "My native Bulgarian land" and two others were chosen according to their results in the Bulgarian language Olympiad held in May.

The Association for the Development of the Bulgarian Community in Moldova thanked their partners in Bulgaria who helped to accommodate the children and feed them during the trip.

"We are delighted to have organized this wonderful journey! We wish the children an exciting trip, unforgettable experiences and wonderful emotions", wrote the Association for the Development of the Bulgarian Community in Moldova
