Goritsa Grancharova-Kozhareva is the new caretaker Premier of Bulgaria

President Radev wants to schedule the early elections for October 20

President Rumen Radev appointed Bulgarian National Audit Office Vice-President Goritsa Grancharova-Kozhareva as the next caretaker Premier. The constitution does not specify a deadline for the caretaker Prime Minister to present the cabinet lineup, but the President has requested this to be done by August 19 in order to schedule the elections for October 20.

Earlier, Dimitar Glavchev withdrew his declared readiness to take on the role of caretaker Prime Minister for a second time to reduce political tensions.

''I personally do not know her. When we elected her for the National Audit Office, she was from the quota of the Bulgarian Socialist Party. GERB has not been offered to occupy ministerial seats in the new caretaker cabinet", GERB leader Boyko Borissov said.

Movement for Rights and Freedoms Chairman Delyan Peevski wished the new Premier strength to withstand thе  Prime Minister to withstand the immense pressure that, according to him, will be placed upon her. "I am convinced that there will be an attempt to control the Interior Ministry and the Ministry of Electronic Government", he added.

‘’There is a very clear test - who will be the interior minister, We Continue the Change-Democratic Bulgaria Co-chairman Kiril Petkov said with regard to Goritsa Grancharova-Kozhareva’ appointment as the new caretaker Premier.

According to Vazrazhdane leader Kostadin Kostadinov, Gоritsa Grancharova-Kozhareva is unsuitable for the position of Prime Minister and will not make independent decisions.
