One of Bulgaria’s spiritual leaders and founder of the School of the Universal White Brotherhood that has many members across the globe nowadays was born 148 years ago, on 11 July 1864. Peter Deunov graduated high school in Bulgaria and then continued studying theology and medicine in the USA. After graduating there he returned to Bulgaria and dedicated his life to the spiritual enlightenment of his people via a series of talks, lectures and books written by him. Peter Deunov’s spiritual name was Beinsa Duno and his followers started calling him the Master. “The whole world bows before me and I bow before spiritual master Peter Deunov from Bulgaria,” Albert Einstein once said. Kindness, Love, Wisdom, Justice and Truth – these are the 5 main categories in the doctrine of Master Peter Deunov. He describes Jesus Christ as a divine cosmic creature, as a universal embodiment of Love, which is a main principle of being. Peter Deunov has inspired many artists with his doctrine and philosophy. Artist Pavel Mitkov dedicated 5 of his pictures to the Master’s birthday. The garden, where the remains of Peter Deunov rest in peace, drew on July 11 many people who believe that Good, Love, Wisdom, Justice and Truth will change mankind. Pavel Mitkov recreates these 5 virtues in his paintings.

The artist gives us details on his exhibition:
“The birthday of Master Peter Deunov, one of the world's greatest spiritual leaders and philosophers, is a really big fest,” the artist says. “The exhibition honors the memory of the Master and his universal philosophy. I do believe in his words, saying that Bulgaria is a spiritual center not only in the Balkans, but also for the entire world. Bulgarian people will play a huge role right now, during this transition period to a new and more spiritual era. I have depicted the 5 virtues in 5 pictures that are placed around his grave in the same manner as the pentagram star on his tombstone. This is an extremely important moment for me, since the pictures are powered by the energy of this sacred place. If they can make people better, I will be happy.”

Pavel Mitkov devoted his life to his passion, drawing, back in 1993. Later on, he went to Mount Athos and after a month and a half spent there he realized that drawing was his mission. His pictures have been presented in over 40 countries. The book of Peter Deunov The Covenant of Colored Rays inspired the artist for his exhibition. The Master described in it how light was split in the colors of the rainbow. Thus the picture named Truth is painted in blue, Love is in pink and red, Wisdom is in yellow, Justice is in green and Virtue is in orange. Here is more from the artist:
“Peter Deunov was a great person. I have been reading his books since the age of 8. I think he was filled with divine wisdom. The more I read his texts, the more I realize that I still have a lot to learn. My exhibition was supported by the White Brotherhood. I feel that it will be good if more people turn to themselves and feel the Truth that can be found in everyone’s heart. Each person is a small universe and if we manage to fix it, we can change the world too. Bulgaria has the huge advantage of being the Master’s birthplace.”
