The world observes heaviest meteor shower tonight

The Perseid meteor shower will reach its peak tonight. In the night between August 12 and August 13 people can observe the heaviest and the most beautiful meteor shower of 2012, with the moon rising into the predawn sky. This spectacular summer view is actually caused by the Earth passing through the dust particles of the comet Swift- Tuttle. When the particles reach the atmosphere, they leave bright marks on the sky. This is the so-called meteorite shower. The meteorites can be seen without any special equipment as the most intense shower is expected later tonight.
