In this edition, we’ll tell you more about Christmas preparations in several places here – what is under way in the capital Sofia, the second-biggest city here Plovdiv and also the historical town of Veliko Tarnovo.
The German and Austrian embassies have co-operated in the opening of German Weihnachtsmarkts in central Sofia and Plovdiv. Also the largest ice rink in the Balkans is running 24/7 in the Borissova Garden in Sofia to the delight of Sofians of all ages.
Also, the Christmas atmosphere in the town of Veliko Tarnovo where the British Ambassador Jonathan Allen has invited locals to a Christmas carols event at the Christmas Bazaar in the town. And in the British capital, Bulgarian myths and legends come to life in the new show of the British-Bulgarian storytelling company A Spell in Time.
The music on the show - your favorite pop songs to get us into the mood of the season, with snow and cold and gifts – songs about Christmas and New Year’s Day in the rendition of Bulgarian singers – well-known tunes and Bulgarian originals.
