Metalheads in Bulgaria enjoyed in the beginning of June the Loud Festival 2012 with the participation of Symphony X, legends W.A.S.P and metal gods Slayer. The venue was Terminal 2 of the Sofia Airport.

On June 23-24th near the capital city of Sofia the Elevation festival took place. The first edition of this festival could not happen in 2011 due to bad weather but this time the party pleased the crowds. Legendary DJ Fatboy Slim performed to the joy of fans of electronic music. Guests to the festival were also UK band Kosheen and the Chambao trio.

The 7th edition of the Kavarna Rock Festival again offered great concerts and emotions to fans. The three-day event was dedicated to the memory of Ronnie James Dio. Headliners of the festival were Dio Disciples. Bulgarian bands BTR and Komanda 5 also took part in the show. Musicians Michael Schenker and legendary Glenn Hughes also performed on the stage in Kavarna together with their bands. The final concerts in the programme of Kavarna Rock included Bulgarian bands Renegade and Ahat. Listen next to a song by the Ahat band.
Unlike most of the festivals that last for a couple of days Park Rock Sozopol took place between July 19 and August 21st. The festival started with a concert by the Bulgarian Epizode band and continued with a concert dedicated to the work of composer Stefan Dimov. The last day of the festival was dedicated to singer Georgi Minchev. So we are back to the music of the 60s and the 70s. Here now is a song performed by legendary Georgi Minchev with music written by Vasko Krapkata.

The fifth edition of the Spirit of Burgas festival has gathered the fans of various music styles in the city on the Black Sea coast. In the period August 3-5th music lovers enjoyed metal, rock, techno, punk, latino, and jazz. Busta Rhymes was one of the biggest stars to appear on stage in Burgas, together with legendary The Prodigy and Korn. For the first time Spirit of Burgas took place in partnership with the Solar music festival focused on electronic music. This led to a number of great parties with DJs like Armin van Buuren, Richie Hawtin, and Mark Knight. The so-called BrazzoBrazzie stage at the festival attracted lovers of blues, jazz, latino, and reggae music. One of the singers to perform on this stage was Kalin Velyov with the Tumbaito band. Next we offer a cover version of theirs of a popular Bulgarian pop song from the 60s.
In the autumn of 2012 the second edition of the 3-day rock festival Rock It took place. The festival focused on Bulgarian rock music, but the local bands were joined by British trash metal band Onslaught. One of the aims of the festival was also to present little known rock bands to the audience. One of the participants was popular Bulgarian band Epizode.
