Poli Genova is one of the most popular young Bulgarian pop singers. She has long been a soloist in the Bon-Bon children’s choir and has a solid experience on stage. Positive energy is characteristic of all her songs. 

“Me and Rozi Karaslavova have been working on the song for a year. Author of the music and lyrics is Zheni Dzhambazova. Konstantin Tsekov made the arrangement of the song and it turned out beautiful. The song is dedicated to the struggle against oncology diseases among children.”

A new play in the Stefan Makedonski National Music Theatre has been attracting the attention of the audience. Poli Genova plays the part of the princess in the Aladdin musical. The evil magician is played by popular pop singer Doni.

“The new Bulgarian musical Aladdin gathers on stage me, Doni and Nencho Balabanov in the part of Aladdin. The music was written by Mario Baltadzhiev while Ivan Angelov wrote the libretto. This is my first theater performance and I honestly fell in love with the songs. Doni and Nencho Balabanov are great in their roles and together we are a good team. The last song of the play is entitled the “Spirit is in you.” Its message is to look in our hearts when searching for answers.”

Poli Genova also told us about her new song performed together with the Del Padre Flamenco formation.

“The band invited me to take part in the song, which is entitled Bueno. I know the guitarist of the band since my school years and he asked me to join the project. It was a bit difficult for me to sing in Spanish though, as I do not know the language,” Ms. Genova says.  

In 2013 Poli Genova expects to take part in a number of new projects. She wants to release a new dance track and looks forward to more concerts and meetings with her fans.
