Formation Studio Balkanton, or as we all know it as the FSB, was founded in 1975 by Rumen Boyadzhiev, Konstantin Tsekov and Alexander Baharov. The reason once again to recall their musical history is their upcoming concert on March 27 in Sofia titled “Wolfish Time”.
FSB is one of the few Bulgarian bands which after years of silence have more to say to their audience. For more than 20 years they have not been active in the musical life in Bulgaria. In 2010 the three professionals reiterated their presence with the album - "FSB". The project has a solid sound, presenting their new ideas and their musical pursuits over this long period.
In its early history, the FSB started as a studio project. The group recorded mainly cover versions of popular songs. Only in 1979, the musicians turned to writing their own material. At the same time, the formation was joined by drummer Peter Slavov and guitarist/violinist Ivan Lechev. So the FSB recorded their first album - "The Orb" /1980 /. Revolutionary for their time, their work differs from the popular pop music back then. They have released more than 15 studio, live and compilation albums.
The concert on March 27, 2013 will be held under the motto "Wolfish Time" - "It is time to put bad thoughts and feelings in a corner and to look ahead. Only the belief that we are genuine, sensible, strong and love each other is a way out in these ravenous wolfish times. Can we do it? Well of course we can do it ... together ". This is how the three musicians are trying to unite not only their fans but also the Bulgarian people at this hard time.
More about the musical event we learn from the pianist of the FSB - Konstantin Tsekov: "What our fans can expect is nice rock music. The concert will be opposite to that of last year, "FSB Symphony", which was tender and lyrical. Almost all the songs we've done in the new arrangements. There are also songs that have never performed "live" before. We want to present a beautiful show like sound will be special. There is a lot we have to surprise our fans.”
Rumen Boyadjiev, Konstantin Tsekov and Ivan Lechev continue to "paint" the image of the time with their music. Among the songs FSB will present at the rock spectable "Wolfish Time" are "The Last Man", "Wind is coming," "Day Dream", "Paragraph".
"About the same musicians with whom we have been playing for the third year at all our concerts. The best part is that they are young guys and give us fresh energy, supporting us. They are amazing professionals and we have their trust. On bass is Ivo Zvezdomirov, solo guitar - Nicholas Koprinkov, drums - Rumen Boyadzhiev Jr. and Stefan Tsekov Jr., percussions – Borislav Boyadzhiev. They are familiar names and we have been working together for a couple of years now."
