The Supreme Judicial Council has unanimously approved the request for dismissing Nikolay Kokinov from the position of city prosecutor of Sofia. The Supreme Judicial Council however did not accept Kokinov’s resignation as prosecutor as according to the magistrates, there are procedural impediments to his dismissal from the position of prosecutor as there are disciplinary proceedings running against him.
