Is Indian lifestyle applicable in our modern society and to what degree?
“We believe that it is applicable and that is one of the main reasons for the organization’s establishment. One simply cannot be interested in the past, present, traditions of a certain community for so long without being irradiated with at least a part of its views on the world. Yes, we can talk on some common Indian worldview and actually recently we see a part of it with people, who may be not especially interested in Indians. This is called environmental consciousness – a feeling of relation with the Earth as a home, as a mother, a feeling of responsibility and interconnectivity with all the other creatures on this planet – animals, plants etc. According to the Indians rocks, lakes and clouds are living creatures either. They see nature as a feeling above all…”
Eagle’s Circle members gather every Saturday with the idea to share their experiences through the week, to discuss everyday topics, to seek the advice of the others. You can’t recognize these modern Indians. They wear modern clothes and meet in cafes and parks. The enthusiasts also have an annual summer camp at the Vitosha Mountain in the summer. Then the atmosphere is different – one can see Indian tepees, camp fires and traditional Indian dances and songs. Most of the participants wear Indian clothing. In the evenings they gather around the fire, smoking pipes and talking.

“I am a happy and thankful person, above all. I dare to say that I have become a better man after those over 20 years with my friends from the Eagle’s Circle – I tend to help more and to be calmer. Nowadays people face great alienation in their relationships, so we need a return to the tribal consciousness. We are all one and need each other,” Liubomir says.“Times change and we change with them, wise men have said. Yes, more people were interested in the beginning, but now those that remained are much more motivated. We face a new task for sure, the entering of a new stage, where via more and more interesting activities we can restore the interest to the Indian way in terms of history, culture, romantics… and hoping to attract new fans to Eagle’s Circle.”
