On 13 February, on the eve of St. Valentine, Lilly Ivanova is for the first time singing at the National Opera and Ballet in Sofia. The concert Love in the Opera is a special gift to her numerous loyal fans. The diva of Bulgarian pop music is going to present some of her greatest hits in new arrangements made especially for this high-profile event. On stage the opera house she will appear jointly with 15 rock musicians and a string group. Light and video effects on LED screens will make the show visually impressive too. The idea of the concert’s organizers is to use the event for fundraising in support of the project Music is a Sea in the Black Sea resort of Lozenets. At the concert in the opera Lilly Ivanova is going to sing her latest song, Just Destiny, music by Mikhail Yosifov on lyrics by Yavor Kirin.


СнимкаFebruary is an important month in the career of pop singer Ruth Koleva. The London program of the BBC has invited her to sing live in the show of celebrity host Robert Elms. This appearance is due on 14 February in the three-hour show hosted by Elms. Ruth has been happy to have been appreciated by another BBC host, Huey Morgan better known as member of the band Fun Lovin’ Criminals. He presented the track Dissonant, from her second album, Ruth. At the end of last year Ruth Koleva presented her latest project to her Bulgarian fans in Sofia. On 20 February it will be released in USA, Europe and Asia. Two days later the singer is going to present, again in Sofia, the video to the second single from the album, Turn This Around.

СнимкаBulgarian and US radio stations will be airing the track Mi Mundo of the Tumbaito band. The single features Martin Tashev, known as a jazz trumpeter but this time appearing as vocalist. In Mi Mundo he teams up with one of the biggest voices of Latino music, Frankie Morales. The track comes from the Tumbaito album of the same name. Mi Mundo has been composed and arranged by the pianist of the band, Milen Koukosharov. Twins Stefania and Elena Ivanov known as the Tornado Twins have written the Spanish lyrics for the track.



СнимкаThe first track from the upcoming new album of Mira Katsarova is entitled, Do You Want to be You Again. The jazz singer is the author of the lyrics and Yavor Dimitrov has arranged the song and plays the piano. Dimitar Semov is on the percussions. The composition is an attempt to break clichés and is looking for new ways of expression. Apart from working on her future album, Miroslava Katsarova is also engaged in a new project devoted to film music. It will premiere in the spring.
