Milla Tsankova was among the young talents who presented Bulgaria at the 48th edition of the International Radio Competition for Young Musicians “Concertino Praga”. It was held for the first time in the remote 1966 by the  Czech Radio and features artists under 18 years of age. In the latest edition, the candidates competed in the categories clarinet, oboe, bassoon, flute and trumpet. The jury had to choose from among 22 entries by participants from seven countries - Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Poland, Russia and Slovenia. Traditionally, the Bulgarian National Radio produces the recordings with which young talents from Bulgaria compete in the forum.

Milla Tsankova was born in 1998 in Sofia. Originally she started to play the piano, but soon fell in love with the gentle and graceful sound of the flute. She progressed rapidly and in 2009 was accepted to study at the Lyubomir Pipkov National Music School in the flute class of Yavor Zhelev.

In 2012, Milla won second prize at the XXIII National Competition for young instrumentalists and singers "Svetoslav Obretenov" which takes place in the town of Provadia.

The young flutist enjoys playing in orchestras as well. She is also interested in composition, but her true passion is solfeggio. In this discipline she won the third prize in the Prof. Kamen Popdimitrov National Solfeggio Competition.
