And yet there is some news about best Bulgarian tennis player Grigor Dimitrov which is not necessarily linked with his girlfriend Maria Sharapova, although the private life of the world stars in general and the one of Grigor and Maria in particular is a hot and very interesting topic. In this particular case, it was left mainly to the imagination of the journalists and the public. This is not always a good thing, but is a matter of personal choice. In fact, Novak Djokovic was the one who made a break in this respect. In Miami, after his own press-conference, Nole entered the press conference hall full with journalists, where at that moment Grisho was holding his press-conference. Novak went to the conference desk and said: Well, let us have a word! My friend Grigor is the most beautiful tennis player at this tournament. You do not have to speak about tennis too much. He scored incredible success this year. That is why let us talk a bit about his looks. “What do you want to know?”, Grisho asked him in return with a smile on his face. “What is your favorite Shugarpova candy?”, Novak asked. “The flirty sour one”, admitted Grigor with regard to the candies produced under Maria Sharapova’s own brand. However, this is not the subject of our topic, neither is the advertisement of the candies in question.

The topic regards the sports achievements and failures of Grigor Dimitrov. In Miami he was defeated by Japanese tennis player Kei Nishikori in the third round. It looks like this Japanese athlete will place among Dimitrov’s most difficult rivals. Despite the loss, Grisho marked this Monday another top performance, as he placed 15th in the ATP world rankings. This means that the Bulgarian tennis star could enter the top 10 this summer, provided he keeps his current shape and follows the successful program of his coach Roger Rasheed.

This weekend Dimitrov will be the ace of the Bulgarian national tennis team at Davies Cup against Greece. The match is to determine whether the national team will remain in the second group of the Euro Africa Zone of the unofficial world cup competition. The event provoked huge interest in Athens. “A big world tennis star is to step on the courts of Ilioupolis club”, read the headings of the Greek media. The outcome of the match will be a topic of comments and conversations next week.
