Bulgaria’s Lilly Ivanova is the singer with the longest career in this country; with numerous concerts and albums going back 50 years. Some of her older songs have been living a new life thanks to their remaking. I Want You is one of the songs written especially for her back in 1983 by Todor Filkov and now remixed by Angel Dyulgerov. The video to the song was directed by Vassil Karkelanov and it shows how the piece was recorded. Lilly Ivanova used it to unveil her first concert from her national tour at the Ivan Radoev Drama Theatre in the town of Stara Zagora. The singer stepped onstage with Ognyan Enev /piano, trumpet, saxophone/, Orlin Tsvetanov /violin/, Vesselin Vesselinov – Eco /bass/, Rosen Vatev /drums/ and Angel Dyulgerov /guitars, violin/. The second part of the tour will start on September 11 at the Bourgas summer theatre, going on to Varna, Veliko Tarnovo, Plovdiv and Sandanski. Traditionally, the Prima of Bulgarian popular music, as she is called has a grand concert in Sofia at the end of each year. In 2014 it is expected to be on November 6 in Hall 1 of the National Palace of Culture.

The new project of pop singer Irina FlorinAn Expected Stranger is now a fact. The piece was composed by Momchil Kolev, a famous composer of the 1990s. The lyrics are by Vanya Shtereva and the arrangement – by Kaloyan Kolev. There is a video too, directed by Vassil Stefanov. Irina Florin has recently made a come back with a new band and repertoire. The singer works with Stefan Popov /drums/, Georgi Stanev /piano and programming/, Ivan Ivanov /guitar/ and Iliana Georgieva /cello/.

Miro has once again brought joy to his fans with a new song, called Jump Over Me. He performs the piece together with rapper Dim4ou, joined by Svetlin Kaslev as co-producer and co-author. The trio says they get their inspiration from the power of human spirit, from those times, when one feels awed. A video to the song is about to be released. Miro presented his new project downtown Sofia a few days ago, as a tribute to Michael Jackson and to mark 5 years since his death.

All the world is football right now, with all eyes fixed on Brazil and the 2014 FIFA World Cup. Kalin Veliov dedicated his latest single - Samba Amazonia, to the game. Kalin’s partners are musicians from Europe, South America and Africa, all of them united by the love of both football and samba – one of Brazil’s most typical styles. Kalin Veliov composed and arranged the piece, the vocals belong to Brazilian girls Julia Martins and Larisa Franklin. This powerful combination of music and dance is a DJ mix with Afro-Latin percussion. Elena Bali, founder and choreographer of Amazonia Dance Project has written the Bulgarian and the Portuguese lyrics. The project is a Bulgaria-based dance formation, consisting of exotic dancers from Brazil, Africa and Bulgaria. Kalin Veliov was the one, who gave the formation its name. The video to the single was directed by Dilyan Pavlov.
