A new and spectacular show will illuminate the sky over Tsarevets fortress in Veliko Turnovo for the first time on Independence Day, 22 September. The show, combining light and laser effects is part of the celebrations on the occasion of the 106th anniversary of Bulgaria’s independence. Author of the show is Andy Faulkner from Great Britain who says he has wanted to do the show over the fortress on Tsarevets hill for years – he has already taken part in the impressive 3D mapping light show already staged at the Assenevtsi monument and the National Art Gallery to mark the day of Veliko Turnovo. The show on 22, September will be one of the building blocks of a grander show to be staged at the Tsarevets fortress called Between gods and men. Tsarevets will serve as the main stage but the show will be seen from different points across the city.
