Bulgarian community in Moldova needs college in Taraclia

A Bulgarian college has to be built in Taraclia, Chairman of the Bulgarian Community in Moldova Fedor Sabii said during the general meeting of the Association of the Bulgarian Communities Abroad held in Varna. Mr Sabii specified that such college would make the connection between high schools which host children from the Bulgarian community and the University of Taraclia. The Bulgarian community prepared a draft bill, according to which Taraclia has to gain the statute of a national cultural region, Fedor Sabii added. In his words, it does not mean the region has to gain autonomous statute. If Taraclia receives such a statute, the Bulgarian community would be guaranteed that it would not face any problems during the forthcoming territorial and administrative reform in Moldova in 2015 and will keep the right to study in its native language and retain its traditions, Fedor Sabii pointed out.
