Day after the new Bulgarian government took office, the Ministry of Finance has started to frantically prepare yet another update of the budget. Minister Vladislav Goranov has already started to reshape the plans of his predecessor Rumen Porozhanov. The new draft for 2014 should be ready by the end of next week, Minister Goranov told reporters. The update is expected to cut planned by Porozhanov increase in spending for 12 ministries and departments, totaling 250 million euro. The new update will no longer include the option for the state to provide guarantees to the fund for guaranteeing deposits, in order for it to receive a loan and pay protected deposits in CCB. Instead, the government will take a loan of at least € 800 million, which will be provided to the institution in the form of another loan.
