Minister of Energy Temenuzhka Petkova said that information in the press claiming that Bulgaria is on the threshold of a gas crisis is not true. According to the Sofia-based Trud paper this country’s gas reserves would be over within the next 100 days, the reason being the inability of Bulgargaz to pay for the imported natural gas and is currently drawing out of the Chiren depot. According to Minister Petkova it is normal practice to be using the deposits from Chiren in the period from November to April. During the rest of the year the Chiren depot is being filled up.
