Bulgaria follows closely the situation related to mobilization of representatives of the Bulgarian minority in Ukraine, Bulgarian Foreign Minister Daniel Mitov has said. Moreover, on January 29, at the initiative of Bulgaria a text was adopted by the Foreign Affairs Council of the EU, which recalled that Ukraine should respect the principle of proportionality in the mobilization of Ukrainian citizens. Bulgarian diplomatic offices in Kiev and Odessa have eased the regime for issuing visas to Bulgarians. There has been no increase in the number of Bulgarians applying for visas so far. Bulgaria has also being preparing to send humanitarian aid to Ukraine together with the Red Cross organizations of Ukraine and Russia. "I want to clearly and explicitly say that the hysteria over the position of Bulgaria must stop - Bulgaria is not going to war against anyone and no one intends to go to war against us," the Minister said.
