A 24-year-old boy has taken the Bulgarian music scene by storm, showing that rock music can still be at the top in Bulgarian charts. Slavin Slavchev became the winner of the third season of the X Factor music show. The Varna-born musician began his participation in the TV show with a flying start with a performance of the song of the cult American band Aerosmith. At the show's final concert rock legend Joe Lynn Turner came to support the Bulgarian singer. Their joint performance of one of the classic hits of the repertoire of Rainbow electrified the audience and brought Slavin the victory. Recently, he recorded his first single entitled Come!

The new song of the lead singer of TE band, Preslava Peicheva, is another new release on the Bulgarian pop scene. The ballad called You reveals the soft and romantic voice of the singer and already has a video to it filmed in a retro black and white style. Preslava became famous with her participation in the Music Idol TV contest in 2007. Soon after it, she became the vocalist of Te band. Along with her work in the group, she works on her solo projects.

One of the new faces of the Bulgarian pop scene, Mitko Petrov, brought delight to his fans with a beautiful love ballad. The 21-year-old singer is studying pop and jazz at New Bulgarian University. His song is called Untitled because he says it is not dedicated to a specific girl but to the girl he has not yet found. Curious is the story of the creation of the song - Mitko heard the lyrics and music in his sleep and as soon as he woke up, he recorded it on his phone. The video to the song features the beautiful actress Tanya Nedyalkova.

The new release of Ioana Dragneva, Smile, has climbed to the top of the charts in no time. DJs Modul and Rossko contribute to the summertime mood of the song. The composition is part of a social music project which the singer implements in conjunction with the foundation A Step for Bulgaria's Invisible Children. The campaign and the artists in the project aim to enhance public awareness of autism and to raise funds for building a training center in Sofia for children suffering from the disease.
