Bulgaria supports idea of building Eastring gas pipeline

Slovakia, Hungary, Bulgaria and Romania have signed a declaration in support of the idea for construction of the Eastring gas pipeline, which will link Central with Southeastern Europe, EurActiv reported. This happened at the summit in Riga where representatives of the EU and former Soviet republics met. The proposal for a new gas pipeline has two versions. According to the first, it will be 832 km in length and will pass through Slovakia, Hungary and Romania, while according to the second variant the pipeline will be 1274 kilometres long and will reach Bulgaria. EurActiv quoted a copy of the signed document, which reflects only political intentions.
