Artist Petya Ilieva who has made a name for herself with her unique works presenting authentic traditional motifs has handed Prof. Hristo Pimpirev, leader of the Bulgarian Antarctic expeditions, nine of her works. They will be arranged in a specially designated corner of the St. Kliment Ohridski base camp on the island of Livingston during the forthcoming, 24th Bulgarian expedition to the Antarctic. The paintings are on vinyl so as to be able to withstand outdoor conditions and will transport the beauty of Bulgarian folklore to the frozen continent.
