The Junior Eurovision 2015 song contest is due on 21 November at Armeets Arena Hall in Sofia. Originally scheduled for November 15, the opening ceremony was delayed in the wake of the tragic developments in Paris. The official start of the event was given on Tuesday. The show hosted by Hall No. 6 of the National Palace of Culture was opened by the 100 Kaba Gaidi Ensemble (100 Low-Pitched Bagpipes). With many smiles and beautiful messages the delegation of the 17 participating countries walked over the red carpet. Addresses were made by the Bulgarian National Television CEO Viara Ankova, Junior Eurovision CEO Vladislav Yakovlev and Sofia Mayor Yordanka Fandakova.

The students from the National School of Dance Art received a storm of applause. They presented a miscellany of folk dances characteristic of various folklore regions in Bulgaria. The highlight of the night was the performance of the singers from Bon-Bon vocal group who presented potpourri from some of the emblematic songs from previous editions of the contest. During their performance a major 3D mapping show lighted up the National Palace of Culture to present participating countries with their national flags. To finalize the opening ceremony, Krisia Todorova sang the anthem of Junior Eurovision, Discover, against the background of fireworks.

This year's representatives of Bulgaria are Gabriela Yordanova and Ivan Stoyanov who are going to compete under No. 13. Their song The Colour of Hope is on lyrics by Gabriela (with the help of Ivailo Vultchev) and the music was written by Slavy Trifonov, Evgeni Dimitrov and Georgi Miltchev, aka Godji

.

Bulgaria's first participation in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest was in 2007 in Rotterdam. Its envoys were the singers from Bon-Bon vocal group. The country has joined four editions of the event so far, and the most successful was last year's participation of Krisia, Hasan and Ibrahim in Malta. They ranked second with the song The Planet of Children. Owing to their success Bulgaria has become eligible to host the 2015 edition of the contest. By tradition every edition of Eurovision has its brand song. This year it is called Discover echoing the motto of the event.

On Sunday, November 15, all participants in Junior Eurovision 2015, upon their arrival to Bulgaria, gathered at Studio 1 of the Bulgarian National Radio to record the song. Its music was written by Evgeni Dimitrov, Vasil Ivanov and Gordon Bonello, Junior Eurovision show producer. On Saturday on stage Armeets Arena, Discover will be performed by all participants in the contest, the Bulgarian National Radio Children's Choir and the stars of Junior Eurovision 2014 Krisia, Hasan and Ibrahim.
