The winner in the 2015 edition of the Junior Eurovision song contest is Destiny Chukunyere of Malta. She and her song Not My Soul won the hearts of European audiences and scored a record 185 points. It is for the first time that a Junior Eurovision contender has had such an impressive score. Closely following Destiny, 12-year-old Mika of Armenia ended second, and third came Lina Kuduzovic of Slovenia. Destiny said that her victory was her most cherished dream having come true. She said her desire was to create joy and love for the whole world. She thanked the audience and the wonderful people of Bulgaria.

The Bulgarian singers Gabi and Ivan ranked ninth.

The grand show hosted by Armeets Arena Hall in Sofia opened with Eurovision anthem Te Deum. At 8:30 pm sharp, Krisia Todorova who had ranked second at 2014 Junior Eurovision gave the start to the show and sang Discover, the anthem of this year’s contest. For the final lines of the song she was joined by the hostess of the show famous pop singer Poly Genova. The absolutely gorgeous directing of the show was due to Gordon Bonello. As usual, the songs were divided into groups according to the order of appearance. Between groups, talented Bulgarian children showed their skills. The composition Andromega presented a futuristic performance with animation, light effects and fireworks. The second intermediate act was performed by beatbox champions Skiller and Pechenkata and was based on a Bulgarian folk song. Krisia, Hasan and Ibrahim played The Planet of Children, the song that had won them second place last year at the same contest, jointly with the Children’s Choir of the Bulgarian National Radio. The young musicians won a standing ovation. Last year’s winner Vincenzo Cantiello presented his song Tu Primo Grande Amore in a new arrangement. After the winners were announced all participants came out on the stage and Destiny received her statuette – the symbol of victory.
