Grigor Dimitrov defeats Gael Monfils in exhibition match in Sofia

Bulgaria’s top tennis player Grigor Dimitrov beat France's Gael Monfils in two sets by 6:3, 6:4 in an demonstration match between the two on Saturday evening held in Arena Armeec hall in Sofia. The two players kept their promise to make a spectacular show and earned the applause of the audience with their dynamic play and lots of humor.

Gael Monfils greeted the audience and thanked for the invitation to participate in such an event. Grigor Dimitrov also thanked his fans and said he had no words with which to describe his emotions and promised all Bulgarians that he would try to perform better next year. He starts the new season at the tournament in Brisbane kicking off on January 3.
