Abstract painter from Paris Christine Tsekova-Christie showed her painting Fighting Spirit at the Art Capital forum in the prestigious Grand Palais. She took part in the Young Artists group, which comprises just eight artists.
Her oil painting was selected by the Society of Independent Artists, founded in 1884. The work reveals the talent of the painter, born to a family of three generations of artists. Christine Tsekova - Christie was born in Paris – in 1986 her parents left communist Bulgaria to settle in the French capital where Christie was born. Her family’s history was fraught with difficulties which went a long way in helping Christie get to grips with the problems in life. Her painting Fighting Spirit is in fact the symbol of her own will to fight. Christie’s candour, her ideas and artistic merit have earned her a place among the prominent names of young modern artists. With Christie’s help, in 2010, her mother, artist Ivanka Petrova-Tsekova, better known as Vane, presented an exhibition “Dance with Paris!” at the National Palace of Culture in Sofia.
