The first submarine art gallery in Bulgaria was unveiled on Saint Nicholas Day (December 6) on the Black Sea bottom nearby the coastal resort of Primorsko. The gallery was named Mermaid’s Home. The first exponents resistant to sea currents were placed there with the help of some divers. The work named Saint Nicholas Rescues the Sailor made by Bulgarian sculptor Nikola Dikov is one of the exponents. The divers from the town of Primorsko came up with the idea to launch a submarine art gallery. Two years ago they made the first underwater chapel in the Black Sea in honor of the Protector of Primirsko Saint Nickolas.
