The first Bizz IT charity conference is taking place in Sofia on 23 January. The event will feature discussions at which some of the most prominent names in the sphere will be answering questions like: “How does one build an IT business and career in Bulgaria? or “What are the most exciting things happening in the IT sphere in the country?” The organizers of the event promise there will be many and intriguing surprises as well as prizes.

Simeon Prusiiski, one of the organizers says that the conference aims to inform and motivate the audience. But also to show that Bulgaria offers an environment congenial for starting an IT business:

Снимка“We want to acquaint young people now entering the IT sphere with the business environment in this sector. For the event we have selected a wide array of subjects. There will be lectures on how to start a business, how to finance and develop it, how to create loyal customers and form a bond between them and the product… We have planned different panel discussions with some of the most successful people in the business in this country, who will be answering questions, among them Sasha Bezuhanova, founder of the MoveBG movement, Tunio Zafer, founder of a Bulgarian company which recently stepped into the world market and is faring really well. Neven Dilkov is founder and proprietor of a major telecom operating in Bulgaria and across the Balkan Peninsula. Atanas Raykov was recently appointed Viber General Manager for Central and Eastern Europe, Lyubomir Russanov is founder and manager of the biggest and fast growing hosting company in Bulgaria. Mihail Irinchev plays a key role in a Bulgarian company that is a leader on the world hosting market and organizer of some of the biggest PHP conferences in Europe. These are just some of the speakers we have got lined up; there are other names we are not disclosing so they may come as a surprise to the participants. We are targeting young entrepreneurs, university and school students who are yet to take their first steps in the sector and who see their future careers in it.”

Visitors to the event will be able to meet some of the most successful entrepreneurs and IT experts. The funds raised from the sale of entrance tickets will go to a noble cause. Here is more from Christina Ilieva, PR officer of the event:

Снимка“Lyubomir Elenkov is 13 and has infantile cerebral paralysis. His is a truly tragic story. When his mother was seven months pregnant she was hit by a car with a drunken driver at the wheel. She died and Lyubomir was born an orphan. His father went into a coma just a few months later and passed away. All his life he has lived with his grandmother who has been fighting to help him every step of the way. In April he is due for feet surgery so he may be able to stand on his feet. The operation costs 10,000 euro, a sum his grandmother couldn’t possibly raise by herself.”
