No violations in the quality of fresh fruit and vegetables imported to Bulgaria from Greece through the Kulata - Promachon border checkpoint have been established so far, authorities reported. The Bulgarian Food Safety Agency has been checking trucks coming from Greece these days over fears that spoiled food products might get imported to this country. Citrus fruit and leafy vegetables are most often imported to Bulgaria from Greece. Fears about possible low-quality food imports emerged after month-long protests by Greek farmers, who blocked border checkpoints with Bulgaria, caused huge lines of trucks on both sides of the border.
