Bulgaria's Boyan Petrov climbs planet's deadliest peak Annapurna

Bulgarian climber Boyan Petrov has climbed the 10th highest peak in the world Mount Annapurna I (8091 m) in the main Himalayan ridge in western Nepal, a peak also known as the deadliest on earth. This was his second attempt after an unsuccessful try earlier in April which failed due to severe weather conditions. Petrov was the first climber to reach the top for this season.

The next eight-thousander that Boyan Petrov is planning to climb is Makalu (8463), the 5th highest in the world.  

With his current ascent, Petrov has become the first Bulgarian climber to have successfully climbed 6 eigth-thousanders. His intention is to try and climb all 14 eight-thousanderson the planet.
