Parliament decided to launch a national referendum containing six questions suggested by the team of showman Slavi Trifonov. The decision was voted by 150 MPs, 131 saying Yes, 18 – No and one abstained. In the referendum the citizens will be able to give their opinion on the following questions: Do you support the idea MPs to be elected through a majority voting system with an absolute majority in two rounds?; Do you support the reduction of MPs to 120?; Do you support the introduction of compulsory voting in elections and referendums?; Do you support the voting from a distance by electronic means in elections and referendums?; Do you support the annual state subsidy granted for financing political parties and coalitions to be BGN 1 per each valid vote at the last parliamentary elections?; Do you support the directors of the district directorates of the Ministry of the Interior and the heads of the regional administrations of the district directorates of the Interior Ministry to be elected through the majority system with an absolute majority in two rounds?
