Bulgaria moves forward in world competitiveness list

The yearbook of the Institute for Management Development (Switzerland) registering world competitiveness in 2016 ranks Bulgaria 50th among 61 economies. This is five positions better on 2015. However, this country remains one of the least competitive in Europe followed only by Greece, Croatia and Ukraine. The lack of dynamism in the economy and the problems in the management of the financial sector related to accumulated bad loans and the bankruptcy of the Corporate Commercial Bank (CCB) in 2014 continue to have a negative impact on Bulgaria’s competitiveness, the authors of the survey claim.
