Bulgarian tennis player Tsvetana Pironkova has reached the quarterfinals of the Roland Garros tournament for the first time in her career. The match on Sunday between Pironkova and Agnieszka Radwanska, seeded second, was suspended because of rain when Pironkova was losing 2: 6, 0: 3. On Tuesday, however, Pironkova won 10 games in a row and put Radwanska into trouble, finally winning 2-6, 6-3, 6-3. The Bulgarian success would actually give a green light to Pironkova for participation in the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, because of the big number of points she is going to receive for the world rankings. The next opponent of Pironkova will be Australian Samantha Stosur.
