Businesses and industrial consumers can now buy gas from Greece

“For the first time natural gas can be imported from another destination and supplier,” said Ivan Ivanov, chairman of the Energy and Water Regulatory Commission, commenting on the Kulata-Sidirokastro gas grid interconnection agreement signed last week. In his words this means that after prices are finalized, Bulgarian consumers – industrial or businesses - will be able to buy natural gas on Greek territory. This gas will remain for use in Greece, but the same portion of natural gas that Gazprom delivers to Greece will remain on Bulgarian territory.
