A 2015-2016 corruption assessment report is to be presented at the 12th public political forum on countering corruption today. In an interview for the Bulgarian National Radio, Dimitar Markov from the Law Programme of the Centre for the Study of Democracy, organizer of the forum, says that worrying tendencies are at hand indicating ample ties between the political institutions, the executive and the legislature and business interests, to the detriment of the state and the public. Data of administrative corruption indicate that it continues at the same level of 15 years ago. “There is no tangible positive effect towards a drop in corruption,” Dimitar Markov says.
