Four medals for Bulgaria at 2016 IMMAF World Championships

During the 2016 IMMAF World Championships in Las Vegas competitors of the Bulgarian national MMA team won 1 gold, 2 silver and 1 bronze medal, which placed Bulgaria third in the world team rankings. Alexandra Toncheva became the first Bulgarian MMA fighter to win a world title among the amateurs. Ferdun Osmanov, who achieved 4 victories out of 5 fights, won a silver medal. Tencho Karaenev won his second silver from world championships and along with the bronze from Euro 2015, the success made him the first Bulgarian with 3 medals from major tournaments. Daniel Galabarov won a bronze medal after two victories over fighters from New Zealand and Austria.
