Bulgaria’s natural gas transmission and storage system operator Bulgartransgaz forecasts in its plan about the development of the national gas transferring network by 2020 that consumption of natural gas will increase with 40% in the next 10 years. The company also forecasts that local extraction of natural gas will increase to 600 million cubic meters per year. Bulgartransgaz also expects that the number of Bulgaria’s natural gas entry points will increase due to the development of the gas interconnections with Romania, Turkey, Greece and Serbia.
