Energy Minister Temenuzhka Petkova is starting talks in Russia today with representatives of the Russian state atomic energy corporation Rosatom on a settlement of the payments by the National Electric Company for the equipment manufactured for the aborted Belene NPP project.
Last month the International Court of Arbitration ruled that Bulgaria pay over 550 million euro to the Russian manufacturer for the aborted project. The Bulgarian government is now looking for different options for selling the equipment, still unpaid for, in Iran or in some other country.
