Turkey has offered a bilateral mechanism to Bulgaria for cooperation over migrants, BTA reports. The agency refers to the words of Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yildirim who has talked over the phone with his Bulgarian counterpart Boyko Borissov. The two leaders talked at the initiative of Yildirim, according to the press service of the Turkish premier. It is said the Bulgarian premier has agreed with the proposal but no further details have been disclosedT he telephone conversation took place a day after Bulgaria handed Turkish national Abdullah Buyuk over to Turkey without the respective court ruling. Authorities in Ankara see Buyuk as an important figure in the movement of President Ergodan’s opponent Fethullah Gulen. In the telephone conversation with Boyko Borissov the Turkish premier has vowed that Gulenists from the organization FETO expelled from Bulgaria “will face trial in Turkey under the principles of law and justice.”
