Additional material incentives are needed for those who serve in the Bulgarian Army, Chief of Defense Gen. Constantin Popov has said in Varna quoted by BTA. He has added that he jointly with the commanders of different army services has submitted a proposal for further incentives to the parliamentary Defense Committee. "We have suggested several options and I hope the right decision will be made, because Bulgaria today needs more and more its Army and its Navy”, Gen. Popov has said. Measures have already been worked out for career development of talented military. The chief of defense believes that additional material incentives will help deal with the deficit of staff in army units.
