Italy declares day of national mourning for victims of strong earthquake

Day of national mourning was declared in Italy to commemorate the victims of the strong earthquake that recently hit the central part of the country. According to latest data, the disaster took the lives of 284 people and 387 were injured. Most of the victims were Italian citizens. Eight Romanians, three British nationals and a Spanish citizen also lost their lives. There are no reports about Bulgarian citizens being among the victims of the earthquake, the Bulgarian Foreign Ministry announced. The Italian Civil Protection reported that the search for survivors would continue until there is the slightest hope for people to be found alive in the ruins.
