Bulgaria’s Premier Boyko Borissov is to become the country’s new national coordinator of the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the European Union scheduled for the first half of 2018. Previously Bulgaria’s Deputy Premier Meglena Kuneva was in that position. In a report Bulgaria’s Premier explained that the change was due to the fact that Bulgaria’s Presidency of the EU Council was pulled six months ahead of schedule. Maglena Kuneva is to coordinate the team and the logistics of Bulgaria’s Presidency of the Council of the EU. Deputy Premier Tomislav Donchev will be coordinator for infrastructure and buildings.
