Bank deposits in Bulgaria continue to rise

The Bulgarian National Bank has registered a continued increase in deposits and a very slight increase in credits for Bulgarian households. 
At the end of August bank deposits in the NGO sector amounted to 66.4 billion Leva (33.2 billion euro or 74.7 percent of the GDP) with an annual growth rate of 9.6 percent. At the same time credits in the NGO sector amounted to 50.2 billion Leva (25.1 billion euro or 56.5 percent of the GDP) with a year-on-year growth rate of a mere 0.1 percent.
