National Electric Company will not appeal court of arbitration ruling on Belene NPP

On the advice of the White & Case law firm, the National Electric Company (NEC) of Bulgaria has decided not to appeal the ruling of the International Court of Arbitration on the Belene NNP case.
The Russian Atomstroyexport has lodged a total of seven claims against NEC amounting to over 1.1 billion euro. However, the Court of Arbitration has rejected almost half of them, the White & Case explanatory memorandum to Energy Minister Temenuzhka Petkova reads.
