Kristalina Georgieva now official Bulgaria contender for UN top job

The new candidate of the Bulgarian government to lead the United Nations Kristalina Georgieva has already been listed as the 13th contender to become that organization’s Secretary General. Though Russia, Venezuela and Malaysia have voiced reserves over the swap, Georgieva’s name and concept about the priorities of the United Nations have been carried on the official UN website. Bulgaria’s previous official candidate Irina Bokova remains in the race, however in personam, said New Zealand diplomat Gerard van Bohemen who chairs the Security Council of the United Nations in September.
